I have to say I am a bit surprised, and then again I am not. Networks are known for not airing any of there normal shows on the night of Halloween. So just a reminder to you all, go out, enjoy the evening, and don’t worry because you won’t be missing any of the latest development on Bionic Woman, because NBC has chosen not to air a new episode tonight. The show will pick back up next week at its normal time. In the mean time feel free to look back on any of our reviews, wallpapers, and various other Bionic Woman related things, and we will keep you as up to date as possible with any other happenings that happen on this off week for Bionic Woman.

I have to say with each episode of Bionic Woman I have been more impressed with the show. It has in my mind progressively come into its own, however many feel that it still needs some fine tuning. But that makes sense, any new show really does need time to find its niche. Well to help with the process go a bit smoother, which means yes there has been yet another behind the scene change. Here is what IGN TV had to say about the surprising addition:
The Hollywood Reporter says that writer Jason Cahill is joining the series as the new showrunner. Cahill is a veteran of The Sopranos, which won him a WGA (Writers Guild of America) award for the episode “Meadowlands.” Cahill recently served as co-executive producer on CBS’s new drama Cane.
The Reporter confirms a recent report on aintitcool.com saying that the writers’ room at Bionic Woman has most recently been run by Friday Night Lights executive producer Jason Katims, but contradicts another aspect of the Aint it Cool story, which said Bionic executive producer Jason Smilovic had left the project after Katims was brought in. In articles discussing Cahill’s new job, the Hollywood Reporter and TV Guide both list Smilovic (along with Battlestar Galactica’s David Eick) as still with the show.
There have been a ton of changes to Bionic Woman’s writing/producing staff in the few months it’s been in production, including the departure of Glen Morgan (The X-Files) and Katims being brought in as a “consultant”, who then was quickly made showrunner, albeit on a temporary basis, with Cahill now filling that role. Meanwhile the show has dropped a substantial amount in the ratings since its strong debut. With this latest addition to the staff it seems NBC is still invested in the series, though it remains to be seen if Cahill can be the unifying force the show needs for both its ratings and its on-screen content, which has suffered some criticism.
Although to me the constant shuffling of writers and such seems to causing more problems then solving it should interesting to see how these changes effect the show throughout the season.

This episode among many others started off with a big bang, a POW that was just rescued wakes up and murders all of his fellow comrades. We find out that there is some sort of depression chip that goes into these POW’s heads that makes them turn on there own friends and kill them, as the show said a walking car bomb. So Jaime get’s the call that she has to go back to college, and pretends to be from England. Stellar writing for the show because as we all know Michelle Ryan is a British actress so this is right up her alley.
The big question comes up and a buddy of mine who likes Bionic Woman and watched tonight’s episode and with Jaime having a British accent it makes you wonder why they couldn’t have just let her keep it. It actually gave the show an edge. I think I speak for many of us, we don’t need to here her speak American, we don’t have that style that a British accent holds. I think this was a bad decision by the makers of Bionic Woman not to just let Michelle Ryan keep her accent in the show.
With that rant to the side Jaime gets a bit of a love interest in the episode but as soon as you start to see something develop it is immediately stopped when we find out that he is the one with these chips that are subsequently used to kill innocent soldiers. The love interest ends up being an undercover CIA agent who is after the same goal as Jaime and they get it done in a very nice fight scene. One thing I have noticed with the fight scenes is that she is rather predictable. Each fight seems to have two dodges and then she attacks. Why can’t Jaime go for the attack? This was another very solid episode for Bionic Woman, it wasn’t as action packed as last week, but as you can see from the next episode, Jaime has a new love interest and he’s in the CIA.

Tonight sounds like it could shape up to be a big episode for Bionic Woman, and hopefully that means that the ratings will pull up tonight. With that being said here is a brief intro to tonight’s episode:
Jaime’s new mission requires her to attend college posing as a British transfer student in order to investigate a professor suspected of illegal activities. However, her task becomes complicated when she falls for the teacher’s assistant, who is also a suspect.
Expect a full review of tonights episode after it airs! See you all then!

As you all know I search daily for any updates on Bionic Woman that I am not already tipped off on. However this article slipped by me over the weekend, but it is an interesting article, however it may be a bit premature. The article is from Entertainment Wise (probably not the most reputable source) but they had an article claiming Michelle Ryan to potentially be the new Angelina Jolie.
Despite having only a starring role in British soap Eastenders under her belt, the 23-year-old beat off a slew of hopefuls to land the high-profile role earlier this year.
And now with the show taking off in the US, Michelle’s former Eastenders co-star Chris Parker has tipped her to go to the very top.
He tells The People, “Her performances are amazing. She’s the next Angelina.”
Sound off Bionic Woman fans. Is Michelle Ryan the new Bionic Woman?

Although many have praised the shows progress in terms of plot lines and the show developing into a really solid rendition of the old classic. Since the stellar premiere of Bionic Woman, the show has seen a dramatic decline in the ratings, in fact, Bionic Woman hit an all time low last night in it’s forth episode on NBC. Here is what Media Life Magazine had to say about last nights staggering results:
NBC’s “Bionic Woman” got off to a strong start but the show seems to be losing its muscle. From its first to its fourth episode, the new drama has slipped 42 percent.
“Bionic” averaged a series-low 3.3 rating among adults 18-49 last night, according to Nielsen overnights measuring live-plus-same-day digital video recorder viewing, off 13 percent from last week’s 3.8 and way down from a 5.7 in its premiere.
Some erosion is to be expected for any new series these days, especially with the increase in DVRs in Nielsen’s household sample, which make it impossible to tell how much of programs’ week-to-week declines are due to audiences tuning out or simply recording the show. Seven-day playback numbers will be available in a few weeks to provide an answer.
But the live-plus-same-day viewing decrease for “Bionic” seen in the overnights is not promising. The show won its brutal timeslot in its debut but has since fallen to third, barely ahead of Fox’s “Kitchen Nightmares.”
Last night for the first time, “Bionic” saw its viewership slip from its first to its second half hour.
The declines have prompted media people to start speculating on whether NBC will move the show. Many still think it has potential and could thrive in a different timeslot, perhaps behind the hit show “Heroes” on Monday at 10 p.m., where NBC has struggled to find compatible programming.
ABC led again at 9 p.m. with a 4.3 for “Practice,” while CBS jumped to second with a 3.9 for “Criminal Minds.” NBC was third with a 3.3 for “Bionic,” Fox fourth with a 3.2 for “Nightmares,” Univision fifth with a 2.1 for “Destilando Amor” and CW sixth with a 1.2 for “Gossip Girl.”
This is not good news for Bionic Woman, but there is no way NBC is going to give up on the show yet. We all know NBC gave Studio 60 last year its fair chance of gaining an audience in different time slots and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Bionic Woman jumping ship over to the Monday night 10pm slot that Journeyman has been struggling with. We will see, but this is not good news if your a fan of Bionic Woman.

This episode starts off pretty strong, much like this previous episodes, however in this episode we see Jamie going after her sister and breaks a toe while she finds her sister making out with some guy. We then find Sarah playing a game of poker which was a setup to bring her back to the institution. The episode starts off extremely strong again with Jamie and Antonio are off to Paraguay off to save an American captive. We get to witness a lot of Jamie learning her skills something that has been a point of interest since the begining of the show.
One of the things we have seen quite often in this show is Jamie being lied to. Antonio tells Jamie that they are going to Paraguay for saving a man, however when they get there they see that wasn’t necessarily the plan and Jamie won’t have any of that and saves the guy on her own getting shot while she is at it. The man she saves (name I am not sure of) happens to be a surgeon so he manages to remove the bullet from Jamie’s shoulder. What was interesting was the information that comes out of this, and that is that the files he wasn’t supposed to read, showed a five year plan, but instead five year life span for a Bionic. That is not the news Jamie was hoping to hear.
The man that Jamie helped ends up ditching her with all of the information that could make more Bionic’s and help her get more then five years. This sense of trust echoes throughout Faceoff, and in fact much of what you find with Jamie and her sister has echoed the issue of trust, something that has actually worsened with each week.
Faceoff was the kind of episode that started off strong and ended with a bit to be desired. I enjoyed the episode that’s for sure, however I did want to see a bit more insight into Jamie and Sarah. Sarah is captured and then somehow the metal that restrained her wasn’t thick enough and she was out free again. All in all another great episode for Bionic Woman, which makes us look forward to see where this episodes developments take us next week.

Just want to remind everyone that there is a new episode of Bionic Woman headed to air this evening on NBC. This actually should be a rather stellar episode as Jamie is supposed to expand her skills even further while managing to probably cause some ruffling of feathers as well. Make sure to check back here tonight after the show for a full review! Here is the synopsis for tonights episode:
Jaime is sent on an assignment that requires her to rescue an American doctor who is working in Paraguay. While there, she discovers the truth about her life expectancy.

As many of you already know, Bionic Woman is actually a remake of a show that originally aired back in the 70’s and is now taking a new spin on the original. Well the original Bionic Woman (Lindsay Wagner) has recently let the Los Angeles Daily News know what she thinks of the new version. Here is some of what BuddyTV got of that encounter:
“It’s very different,” Lindsay Wagner, who played the first Jamie Sommers back in the mid to late `70s, told the Los Angeles Daily News. “It’s very much like what the shows are today, kind of dark and broody and violent - what people seem to be getting off on these days. So, it’s not at all what we were doing. We were doing a show for kids intentionally and making it fun and make it in such a way that adults could enjoy it, too, with their children.”

So last week we saw Bionic Woman’s TV viewer ratings drop from it’s big premiere. Now for its third episode we saw a small drop again for the show falling further behind Private Practice by the week. The ratings aren’t horrible for Bionic Woman, but being that NBC has signified Wednesday’s as being “Bionic Wednesday” you have the feeling that NBC was hoping/planning for more from the re-make. Here is what Media Life Magazine had to say:
“Bionic Woman” on NBC slipped again in the same hour, down 5 percent from last week’s 4.0 to a 3.8. It tied for second place behind “Practice” in the timeslot with CBS’s “Criminal Minds.”
At 9 p.m. ABC led again with a 4.8 for “Practice,” while NBC and CBS tied for second at 3.8, NBC for “Bionic” and CBS for “Minds.” Fox was fourth with a 3.0 for “Kitchen Nightmares,” Univision fifth with a 2.0 for “Destilando Amor” and CW sixth with a 1.3 for “Gossip Girl.”
So as you can see even Sarah Corvis would have a tough time putting up numbers against Private Practice, but here is to next week being a better week for the new action show, Bionic Woman!
