So we are three episodes into the first season of Bionic Woman and we have seen some solid results for the first two episodes and are waiting to see how last night’s episode titled Sisterhood faired in the ratings which should come later today. However we already have some good news for the freshman series, and that is that NBC has ordered up four more scripts for the new Bionic Woman, which obviously means that there is at least a slight hope for a future for Bionic. Thus far only one new show across all networks has been picked up for an entire year and that is the CW’s Gossip Girl. However the news is still just one stop closer to getting Bionic Woman picked up for an entire season.

So if you read my review of episode 2, you know I loved the episode, it really built upon the pilot episode and carried a solid feel from start to finish. Episode 3, titled Sisterhood has the same solid start, watching Jamieout to lunch with her sister. She is given an assignment during her lunch, and she instantly goes takes care of a job, and get’s back to life with little to no problem.
What was really interesting about this episode was this connection between the two Bionic Women, Sarah and Jamie. Sarah obviously has a few screws loose, she really needs Jamie, but the trust between the two isn’t necessarily there at the start of the episode. We also learn more about Jamie, her family, and the fact that Jonis had placed a camera in her eye so they could track Jamie at any time. There was some great conversation between Jonis and Jamie at the top half of the show, some of the best stuff of the series thus far.
Jamie is stuck babysitting some sort of important Canadian girl, and of course she is a big pill to swallow. Jamie briefly looses her, but uses her amazing hearing to find her in a nearby tattoo parlor. The mission for Jamie in this episode is rather bare, and as of the first half of the show doesn’t really have a significant impact on the episode.
There is a moment in this episode that I think the ant Isaiah Washington crowd will love to see. Jamie is continuing to train and trying to learn to let loose away from what is already installed in her brain to become less predictable. Isaiah’s character Antonio Pope tries to get her to let it out and gets beat down in the process. I am sure T.R. Knight from Greys Anatomy wouldn’t mind watching that one!
Jamie continues to watch out for the Canadian rich girl who is requiring Jamie’s protection, the two go to the nail salon and guess who shows up, Sarah! She warns Jamie of the upcoming bad guys who are ready to take the Canadian girl. Jamie and Sarah team up for an awesome action sequence one of the best so far this series.
The conclusion of this week’s episode leaves us with the biggest cliffhanger thus far this season as well. Sarah comes to Jamie’s house pretends to be a neighbor and gives Jamie’s sister some sort of sleeping pill. Jamie and Sarah have this final stand off where the two obviously are coming to blows in the coming weeks, Sarah needs Jamie to live, and Jamie doesn’t trust Sarah at all. Sisterhood continues to improve on the last two episodes, and makes for the best episode this season. This episode continued to improve on the flow of the show as well as creating one of the most entertaining experiences of the season. This was a great episode of Bionic Woman!

So we are steadily approaching the third episode of Bionic Woman, titled Sisterhood, and I thought what a better way to get you ready for tonight’s show then to watch the shows star get bombarded by five of the most outspoken women on TV, that are those of The View. How does Michelle do in her transition to the US talk show circuit? Here is the video!

So we know that Bionic Woman took the top ratings in its 9pm hour on its premiere episode. The show stumbled quite a bit in the ratings falling behind of Private Practice in its second episode. One thing I mentioned in my review of the second episode, was that the episode really carried a much stronger feel then the pilot and managed to keep a pace that was much more entertaining to follow then what we saw in the first episode, yet the show didn’t carry its audience over from the previous week. Now the highly anticipated Bionic Woman is fighting for its time slot and possibly could be fighting for its life. So if you like the show thus far, I wouldn’t say Bionic Woman is in danger of being canceled yet, but I do have a feeling if the show continues to go down in the ratings, it could be under high pressure from NBC.
So will Bionic Woman over take Private Practice this week again? Or will Private Practice continue to widen the gap? We will find out this Wednesday with the third episode of Bionic Woman.

So as mentioned in my review of Paradise Lost the second episode of Bionic Woman, the show was really coming in stride with this episode, it felt much more complete, and a much more interesting episode. Now that I am personally getting really pumped up for the show, let’s take a look at some images NBC sent us a day back for next week’s episode of Bionic Woman, titled Sisterhood.

Last week we saw the ratings boom for Bionic Woman managing to take out the Greys Anatomy spin off Private Practice for the best rated show of the 9pm time slot. Well the second week of episodes unfortunately didn’t fair as well for Bionic Woman, as there has been a major decrease in viewership from the first week, to last nights show. So how bad did last nights ratings go? Here is what Media Life Magazine had for last nights ratings:
NBC’s “Bionic Woman” took the biggest hit at 9, falling 27 percent in 18-49s from a 5.5 to a 4.0 in its second outing, though it did once again build in its second half hour.
As a reminder, the increase in digital video recorders this year in Nielsen’s sample could have a big impact on ratings. Some shows may see their declines lessen when those results are out, which will be several weeks.
ABC led again at 9 p.m., this time with a 4.5 for “Practice,” with NBC moving to second with a 4.0 for “Bionic.” CBS was third with a 3.7 for “Minds,” Fox fourth with a 2.9 for “Kitchen,” Univision fifth with a 2.2 for “Destilando Amor” and CW sixth with a 1.3 for “Gossip.”
Although the ratings went down, Bionic Woman didn’t necessarily have a bad night. I would say it is unfortunate that people missed last nights episode as it was leaps and bounds better then the pilot, but all in all I have a good feeling that Bionic Woman will level it all out, especially if the show continues at the pace that last nights episode had.

Paradise Lost starts right where the first episode of Bionic Woman left off. At the end of the first episode we saw Will, Jamie’s future husband get shot, and now at the start of the second episode, Jamie is attending his funeral. This was a start to the show that I was not expecting by any stretch. Jamie goes back after the funeral to his apartment and finds quickly a file that holds information all about her, two years before they even met. The start of this episode of Bionic Woman was fantastic, it really grabbed my attention right out of the gate, and started even stronger then in the premiere episode.
I think one thing that Bionic Woman needed to do was to bring Isaiah Washington in the show as soon as possible, in order to get that controversy out of the way, and he gets into this second episode rather quickly. Jamie is struggling with the loss of Will but ends up saving a woman who was going to commit suicide. She also gets to know Isaiah Washington’s character in a bookstore who influences her to become all that she can be. After saving the woman from committing suicide Jamie gets the buzz to want to save the world and thus the show continues. Isaiah Washington doesn’t have a major role, but is Jamie’s supervisor, and will be in charge of her training.

Speaking of training, Jamie’s training will never be compared to that of Rocky Balboa, there was no Eye of the Tiger, but then again watching Michelle Ryan do the one arm pull ups was a real treat. The main focus of the episode outside of Jamie’s decision to join the agency, was the town of Paradise where we are left with a town with everyone left dead outside of one young girl. The town has been attacked with a biological weapon that Jamie’s new employer actually created. There is some sort of insurgence in the town as well and Jamie gets into a hand to hand combat action with one guy in an extremely memorable fight. In fact I was surprised to see how bad Jamie gets messed up in the fight.
If your still wondering what I thought on Paradise Lost, then let me put it into one word, fantastic. This episode of Bionic Woman not only improved upon last weeks first outing but made for one of the most enjoyable TV show episodes so far this fall. Paradise Lost got the timing down, it felt steady, interesting, and action packed. Isaiah Washington without all of his baggage is still a top notch actor and brings a good solid presence to the show. But all the credit in the world to Michelle Ryan, I wasn’t all that impressed with her in the first episode, but she stepped it up in this episode and I can’t say enough about how impressed I was with this episode. This could really be the start of something truly special.

So as many of you already know, Isaiah Washington was not found on the Season Premiere of Bionic Woman, in fact there wasn’t even any references to him. With that being said Washington is scheduled to be appearing in tonights episode which could do a lot of future plot lines for the show as well. With that being said here is a look at his role in tonight and future episodes from First Coast News:
While he’s [Isaiah Washington] changed networks, he hasn’t completely left medical science behind. Now, he’s playing Antonio Pope, an ex-special forces mentor to a newly bionic woman.
“Because she’s half machine, I’m trying to let her know she has to embrace that machine,” said Washington.
Washington’s role on “Bionic Woman” comes only months after his controversial exit from the ABC drama “Grey’s Anatomy”.

Make sure to check back tonight for our full review of Episode 2 of Bionic Woman, Paradise Lost following the show.

As many of you already know, Bionic Woman had a massive week in the ratings last week, very much exceeding many people’s expectations. With the shows big first week, we have seen an increase around the net of coverage on the show. Crave Online is an example of this who just recently interviewed Michelle Ryan the star of Bionic Woman. Here is a bit of the interview:
Crave Online: Is this show going to be a big pain in the butt, hanging on wires all day?
Michelle Ryan: I’m going to sound really strange but I enjoy all of it. I feel like you suffer for your art and the hanging up there just adds to the character in my opinion, for me personally.
Crave Online: The first episode was so serious. What room is there for humor on the show?
Michelle Ryan: I think there is a little bit. From what I heard, there will be some lighter moments. I think Jamie’s going to have some friends. I think that there will need to be a few moments of lightness, but I think ultimately, it’s quite dark.
Crave Online: What was it like fighting Starbuck on the rooftop?
Michelle Ryan: I would fight with Katie and I would have these bruises and there was this one section where she would be saying, “Hit me, hit”, and I was like, “But I don’t want to hurt you.” And she was like, “No just hit me. So it was interesting how she was coaxing it out of me.” I had done all my training, but I sort of still didn’t want to hurt her. When you fight on set you try to not hurt anybody. But she sort of said to me, “No, just do it.” It was interesting how she was sort of bringing it out in my sort of the way Sarah is bringing out the strength in Jamie.
Crave Online: Who do you think won that fight?
Michelle Ryan: There is an interesting twist that I won’t give away. You really feel like “Jamie, wow, she kicked ass and she gave it her all…” but there is an interesting twist that I was told about from the writers, but I think Jamie gave as good as she got.
Crave Online: Are you ready to become an American celebrity?
Michelle Ryan: I feel like I have had seven years experience in England for five years from the age of 16 and I was immediately thrown in the spotlight. I know what to expect. I know it is a bigger scale over here. So I feel like if you work hard and you keep your private life private, you will be okay.
Crave Online: Will there be more opportunities for romance on the show?
Michelle Ryan: I think there is going to be. From what I can gather, it is just focusing on the work and Jamie has to come to terms with the fact that she is bionic. And I am still working on the show, so there is not really time for romance. I think we have lots of different ideas for love triangles and there is obviously the relationship with Will. She is a woman so all of those feelings and hormones and emotions will come up. I think that initially it will be her dealing with becoming Bionic. But I think hat absolutely down the line, she has got to have some romance.
Crave Online: Do you have any feelings one way or the other about Isaiah Washington being cast?
Michelle Ryan: I just look forward to seeing what he brings as an actor. Same as with all the actors. My parents were so thrilled Miguel [Ferrer] was in this. I am sort of excited just to sort of be leading it. I am 23 and I am an unknown Brit and I get to play this iconic American character makes me feel so privileged.
