The breaks in the schedule for Bionic Woman have really come back to hurt this freshman season of Bionic Woman. With each break, people move on, people forget about Jaime and Sarah and all thats going on and you can see this with the ratings. This is probably also the reason why we didn’t hear anything about Bionic Woman getting a full season order. How bad were the ratings? Pretty bad indeed.
CBS took the lead at 9 p.m. with a 4.5 for “Criminal Minds,” while ABC slipped to second with a 3.8 for “Pushing Daisies.” Fox was third with a series-high 3.3 for “Kitchen Nightmares,” Univision fourth with a 2.6 for “Destilando Amor,” NBC fifth with a series-low 2.2 for “Bionic Woman” and CW sixth with a 1.4 for “Gossip Girl.” That marked “Girl’s” second-best rating among 18-49s so far this season, and the show also posted its second-best rating among viewers 18-34 (1.8).
That is the kind of performance that will get a show canceled, we will just have to wait and see if there are any more episodes of Bionic Woman to come, or was that the finale last night?

It has been another layoff since the last episode, this is part of the holidays, but we also know that the show is struggling, we may have lost one of the strongest assets of the show with Katee Sackoff threatening to leave the show. With Katee making a possible exit this could leave the show in all sorts of problems. In fact many are saying tonight’s episode could possibly be the final episode for the new Bionic Woman. So how does Bionic Woman “possibly” go out?
We see at the begining of the episode that Jaime is having a lot of problems with the death of Antonio (played by Isaiah Washington) so she is given the order to take sometime off. On her way to vacation in Montana in a very nice resort (looks relaxing to me) but to make a drop off of a briefcase while she is there. She drops of the briefcase, her cell phone is taken away by her sister, and it looks like a week of relaxtion, right? Well of course not, the guy who Jaime drops the briefcase off to is dead and she looks at the briefcase and finds out that there is a man at the resort who is selling a new nuclear technology to North Korea.
So we figure out real quick that this wasn’t what you would consider a vacation of R&R, however we see htat Jaime still has not stomach for killing people. She has clear shot with a sniper rifle to take out the nuclear specialist but she can’t pull the trigger. So she makes things a lot more complicated and a lot more difficult. She takes the man captive, drives away with him, almost gets blown up by a bomb in her car, and has to take out further enemies to get them out of here.
The end of the episode shows Jaime held up by the decision of whether or not she wants to tell her sister about her being Bionic. She ends up telling her that someone died at her work and that is effecting her, however you know she wants to tell her the truth but doesn’t.
If this does end up being the final episode, we can’t say it went out on a high note. This was the last show produced before the writers strike, so we won’t know the status of the show until after that, unless NBC decides to pull the plug which is a possibility. It’s a shame because Bionic Woman started out strong but with each subsequent episode the acting, the writing, and the plot lines just went downhill, hopefully if the show does come back it goes back to less family problems and more action. We shall have to wait and see.

So when it rains it pours, and for Bionic Woman it all started with the announcement of the show, and it has gone down hill from there. The series had a great premiere but never contained that audience. According to TVGuide there has been a lot of turmoil on the set as well because Katee Sackoff has stated in a public Q&A that she will be leaving the show even if the writers strike works it self out. Here is what TVGuide had to say:
Katee Sackoff, who plays rogue beta model Sarah Corvus on Bionic Woman, says she is completely done with NBC’s struggling series, and not because of the writers’ strike. According to convention blogger RoadRunnerDM, Sackoff said at a public Q&A that she has a meeting with one of the producers after Thanksgiving, but does not expect to return to the show even if it does resume production. Sackhoff never came out and explicitly stated the reason for her breakup with the show, but her thinly veiled sassy comments suggested “there isn’t a lot of love going on between her and Michelle Ryan,” says the blogger.
Sackoff also stated that if the strike continues, Episode 11, the last that BW filmed, could serve as a series finale, if necessary.

With Isaiah Washington killed off rather quickly, and Katee Sackoff leaving we easily could be watching the last few episodes of the new Bionic Woman in the upcoming weeks.

Trust Issues is one of those episodes that had a lot of potential going into it, from the previews it sure seemed like an episode full of questions and answers. The plot of Bionic Woman has been hurting a bit, viewers are just not connecting, and I think a lot of it has to do with the uneven storylines. Unfortunately Trust Issues doesn’t trust its cast well enough to really allow this plot line to develop. Trust Issues starts off with Jaime having her new love interest Tom, over for dinner with her sister, which lasts about a minute, and Jaime is called in for business. If there is to be a relationship for Jaime, no matter who it is, it is going to be a tough sell with her schedule.
So the big storyline involves Jaime and Antonio and some high powered sniper rifles which can shoot from over two miles away. Now that is what I call power. Anyways Antonio is acting fishy, he finds out about the location of a foreign president’s plane before anyone at the agency has found out, and then we see him go to a motel and it seems as though he is talking with the assassin. We find out later that he knew the assassin from previous assignments and doesn’t want to pull the trigger on a former friend.
Antonio hesitates when pulling the trigger on the assassin and gets shot in the process. It is one of those things that happens so fast that your not sure how deadly the wound was, but we all know Isaiah Washington’s role was temporary, and we see Antonio die in the ambulance only a few minutes after being shot. You know they hyped this episode up as being a big episode, but the big climax was really quite disappointing. Like many of the episodes in the past, Trust Issues has all the makings for a true November episode, but it has far to many holes in the plot to really keep you interested.

I have a contact at NBC, he hasn’t sent me anything in a while for Bionic Woman. That has worried me a bit, could NBC be loosing faith in there new show? I wouldn’t doubt it. However tonight’s episode is a big one, and should bring some new plot twists. There are some brief spoilers, but I think we all probably have figured them out by now. Come back tonight for a full review of Trust Issues.

There is no doubt that NBC had very high expectations for there remake of the original Bionic Woman. But I personally believe taking that week off really just gave people another reason not to watch. So we are left with the worst ratings for the series thus far in its short history and things are starting to look very bleak for the show. There is no doubt that this past episode wasn’t up to par, and we can only hope things change quickly, because if not, we may see a quick exit of this remake. Here is what Media Life Magazine had to say:
At 9 p.m. ABC was first with a 5.8 for the CMAs, followed by CBS with a 3.8 for “Criminal Minds.” Fox was third with a 2.9 for “Kitchen Nightmares,” NBC fourth with a series-low 2.7 for “Bionic Woman,” Univision fifth with a 2.4 for “Destilando Amor” and CW sixth with a 1.2 for “Gossip Girl.”
If the ratings don’t turn soon, I would expect NBC to make a time shift for the show to see if they can spark some new interest. We shall see.

So we are back with the latest Bionic Woman, this comes after last week’s week off being that it was Halloween. This week we see Jaime make a trip over to Paris, and she gets to choose one CIA agent to have accompany her on this trip. The reason for this is there is this “list” (hint the name) that has a ton of names that could put a lot of people at risk. So Jaime takes Tom (her guy interest from the last episode) and they are off to Paris. The two go to a party where they need to locate the one with the list. We get to see them use Jaime’s abilities to first locate the guy with the list and then get them out of a jam.
Tom and Jaime got into a big fight with who they thought were the owners of the list but were unfortunatley dissapointed and seperated at the same time. Not only did they get the wrong guy, but Tom was separated from Jaime and held hostage. Now it is time for Jaime to go get him back. You know I have really enjoyed the fight scenes so far in the season, but this episode wasn’t as satisfying. We see Jaime take out a few bad guys and it just felt like a bit of a rehash of to many fights.
The List was a big disappointment for me. I really thought the episode would have shed more light on expanding the storyline. The only question I have about this episode is does Jaime’s sister know about Jaime and her being Bionic. I was really missing Bionic last week, but this episode didn’t grab my attention the way that many have in the past. Hopefully next week proves to be a better episode.

Just a reminder since some of you may a bit confused with the lack of a Bionic Woman episode last week, I wanted to remind you a new episode of the Bionic Woman airs tonight titled The List. Here is the short description:
When a man plans to sell a list with names from both the Berkut Group and the CIA, the companies team up to catch him. Jaime and Tom are partnered for the mission in Paris, where they find themselves struggling to balance their flirting with the task at hand. Finally, Becca tries to impress a boy and gets arrested, prompting Jonas to bail her out.

Last week was Halloween, and for that NBC didn’t air a new episode of Bionic Woman. It was the first Wednesday since its premiere that there wasn’t a new episode. Will the break hurt the show? That I don’t know. What I do know is that TVSquad compiled a list of shows for the November Sweeps and brought in any information that they thought was worthwhile to let fans know of what is to come from there favorite show. Here is what they said about Bionic Woman:
Jaime and Tom must work together while on a mission in Paris. Becca lands herself in jail. Jaime over hears a disturbing conversation between Antonio and an assassin and her relationship with Tom moves forward.
Seems like Jaime is moving forward rather quickly, but who can blame her, she is Bionic now!
