Bionic Woman Ratings Take A Plunge
Written by Brenda on November 9th, 2007
There is no doubt that NBC had very high expectations for there remake of the original Bionic Woman. But I personally believe taking that week off really just gave people another reason not to watch. So we are left with the worst ratings for the series thus far in its short history and things are starting to look very bleak for the show. There is no doubt that this past episode wasn’t up to par, and we can only hope things change quickly, because if not, we may see a quick exit of this remake. Here is what Media Life Magazine had to say:
At 9 p.m. ABC was first with a 5.8 for the CMAs, followed by CBS with a 3.8 for “Criminal Minds.” Fox was third with a 2.9 for “Kitchen Nightmares,” NBC fourth with a series-low 2.7 for “Bionic Woman,” Univision fifth with a 2.4 for “Destilando Amor” and CW sixth with a 1.2 for “Gossip Girl.”
If the ratings don’t turn soon, I would expect NBC to make a time shift for the show to see if they can spark some new interest. We shall see.
I’m willing to bet Kitchen Nightmares outperforms Bionic Woman again in this weeks ratings… any takers?
Definitely.
I am a HUGE sci-fi fan, and really thought Bionic Woman would be quite entertaining. I watched the pilot episode and thought “I’m sure it’s a fluke. It will get better.”
Then it got worse.
I could have sworn I was watching some chick show like Gilmore Girls with a very slight sci-fi edge. Seriously, did they implant her with an “emotional basketcase” chip as part of her bionics? This show is for women, no doubt. Actually, my wife stopped watching it before I did because she thought it was too centered on emotional girly-girl stuff.
