Young women are exposed to a purity of self images all of which have to be fulfilled.
Parents want a model child , obedient , pretty and intelligent. Husband’s want a super woman who supports them , looks good, cooks like a dream, is super-duper in bed as well as the ideal mother to his children.
The media portrays every woman as the best and perfect woman with beautiful skin, hair, nails and oh-so much time on their hands. While children expect their mothers to be there for them only and that’s not all.
Nowadays every woman is expected to work and earn a livelihood with a successful career while balancing a household and other responsibilities at the same time.
Forgive the rant but its really not fair!

TVSquad has reported that the outlook for Bionic Woman is grim at best. So here is what they had to say:
Brian Stelter over at The New York Times TV Decoder blog has a rundown on what happened to the show, from the pre-launch hype to how the numbers dropped so badly that NBC even took the repeat off of Saturday nights and replaced it with a repeat of Chuck.
According to Stetler: “TV Guide called it “the fall’s most talked about new action drama” and NBC poured tens of millions of dollars into promotion. In preseason poll, the show ranked No. 1 in the “would definitely watch” category and in measurements of audience awareness, it scored almost 80 percent higher than any other new show this fall.”
It was hyped, though I don’t know if TV Guide calling something “the fall’s most talked about new action drama” means anything. Did a lot of other action dramas premiere this fall? I think that the attention it got was based on two things: it was from the Battlestar Galactica people and people had nostalgia for the original. That’s why it polled so well and the first episode numbers were so good.
Stetler goes on to say: “Then the program premiered. It delivered a solid 13.6 million viewers, suggesting a high level of sampling. But many people never returned: if the show’s ratings were plotted on a chart, they would show a dramatic and consistent weekly decline.”
In the end Bionic Woman’s chances of getting another new episode, is slim to none.

The breaks in the schedule for Bionic Woman have really come back to hurt this freshman season of Bionic Woman. With each break, people move on, people forget about Jaime and Sarah and all thats going on and you can see this with the ratings. This is probably also the reason why we didn’t hear anything about Bionic Woman getting a full season order. How bad were the ratings? Pretty bad indeed.
CBS took the lead at 9 p.m. with a 4.5 for “Criminal Minds,” while ABC slipped to second with a 3.8 for “Pushing Daisies.” Fox was third with a series-high 3.3 for “Kitchen Nightmares,” Univision fourth with a 2.6 for “Destilando Amor,” NBC fifth with a series-low 2.2 for “Bionic Woman” and CW sixth with a 1.4 for “Gossip Girl.” That marked “Girl’s” second-best rating among 18-49s so far this season, and the show also posted its second-best rating among viewers 18-34 (1.8).
That is the kind of performance that will get a show canceled, we will just have to wait and see if there are any more episodes of Bionic Woman to come, or was that the finale last night?

So when it rains it pours, and for Bionic Woman it all started with the announcement of the show, and it has gone down hill from there. The series had a great premiere but never contained that audience. According to TVGuide there has been a lot of turmoil on the set as well because Katee Sackoff has stated in a public Q&A that she will be leaving the show even if the writers strike works it self out. Here is what TVGuide had to say:
Katee Sackoff, who plays rogue beta model Sarah Corvus on Bionic Woman, says she is completely done with NBC’s struggling series, and not because of the writers’ strike. According to convention blogger RoadRunnerDM, Sackoff said at a public Q&A that she has a meeting with one of the producers after Thanksgiving, but does not expect to return to the show even if it does resume production. Sackhoff never came out and explicitly stated the reason for her breakup with the show, but her thinly veiled sassy comments suggested “there isn’t a lot of love going on between her and Michelle Ryan,” says the blogger.
Sackoff also stated that if the strike continues, Episode 11, the last that BW filmed, could serve as a series finale, if necessary.

With Isaiah Washington killed off rather quickly, and Katee Sackoff leaving we easily could be watching the last few episodes of the new Bionic Woman in the upcoming weeks.

There is no doubt that NBC had very high expectations for there remake of the original Bionic Woman. But I personally believe taking that week off really just gave people another reason not to watch. So we are left with the worst ratings for the series thus far in its short history and things are starting to look very bleak for the show. There is no doubt that this past episode wasn’t up to par, and we can only hope things change quickly, because if not, we may see a quick exit of this remake. Here is what Media Life Magazine had to say:
At 9 p.m. ABC was first with a 5.8 for the CMAs, followed by CBS with a 3.8 for “Criminal Minds.” Fox was third with a 2.9 for “Kitchen Nightmares,” NBC fourth with a series-low 2.7 for “Bionic Woman,” Univision fifth with a 2.4 for “Destilando Amor” and CW sixth with a 1.2 for “Gossip Girl.”
If the ratings don’t turn soon, I would expect NBC to make a time shift for the show to see if they can spark some new interest. We shall see.

Finally, Becca tries to impress a boy and gets arrested, prompting Jonas to bail her out.

Last week was Halloween, and for that NBC didn’t air a new episode of Bionic Woman. It was the first Wednesday since its premiere that there wasn’t a new episode. Will the break hurt the show? That I don’t know. What I do know is that TVSquad compiled a list of shows for the November Sweeps and brought in any information that they thought was worthwhile to let fans know of what is to come from there favorite show. Here is what they said about Bionic Woman:
Jaime and Tom must work together while on a mission in Paris. Becca lands herself in jail. Jaime over hears a disturbing conversation between Antonio and an assassin and her relationship with Tom moves forward.
Seems like Jaime is moving forward rather quickly, but who can blame her, she is Bionic now!

I have to say I am a bit surprised, and then again I am not. Networks are known for not airing any of there normal shows on the night of Halloween. So just a reminder to you all, go out, enjoy the evening, and don’t worry because you won’t be missing any of the latest development on Bionic Woman, because NBC has chosen not to air a new episode tonight. In the mean time feel free to look back on any of our reviews, wallpapers, and various other Bionic Woman related things, and we will keep you as up to date as possible with any other happenings that happen on this off week for Bionic Woman.

I have to say with each episode of Bionic Woman I have been more impressed with the show. It has in my mind progressively come into its own, however many feel that it still needs some fine tuning. But that makes sense, any new show really does need time to find its niche. Well to help with the process go a bit smoother, which means yes there has been yet another behind the scene change. Here is what IGN TV had to say about the surprising addition:
The Hollywood Reporter says that writer Jason Cahill is joining the series as the new showrunner. Cahill is a veteran of The Sopranos, which won him a WGA (Writers Guild of America) award for the episode “Meadowlands.” Cahill recently served as co-executive producer on CBS’s new drama Cane.
The Reporter confirms a recent report on aintitcool.com saying that the writers’ room at Bionic Woman has most recently been run by Friday Night Lights executive producer Jason Katims, but contradicts another aspect of the Aint it Cool story, which said Bionic executive producer Jason Smilovic had left the project after Katims was brought in. In articles discussing Cahill’s new job, the Hollywood Reporter and TV Guide both list Smilovic (along with Battlestar Galactica’s David Eick) as still with the show.
There have been a ton of changes to Bionic Woman’s writing/producing staff in the few months it’s been in production, including the departure of Glen Morgan (The X-Files) and Katims being brought in as a “consultant”, who then was quickly made showrunner, albeit on a temporary basis, with Cahill now filling that role. Meanwhile the show has dropped a substantial amount in the ratings since its strong debut. With this latest addition to the staff it seems NBC is still invested in the series, though it remains to be seen if Cahill can be the unifying force the show needs for both its ratings and its on-screen content, which has suffered some criticism.
Although to me the constant shuffling of writers and such seems to causing more problems then solving it should interesting to see how these changes effect the show throughout the season.

Tonight sounds like it could shape up to be a big episode for Bionic Woman, and hopefully that means that the ratings will pull up tonight. With that being said here is a brief intro to tonight’s episode:
Jaime’s new mission requires her to attend college posing as a British transfer student in order to investigate a professor suspected of illegal activities. However, her task becomes complicated when she falls for the teacher’s assistant, who is also a suspect.
Expect a full review of tonights episode after it airs! See you all then!
