Tips on handling temper tantrums!

Raising children is a difficult task but you have a responsibility to raise responsible and good children who can grow into great adults.
- What work for one child may not necessarily work for all your children so be flexible and innovative to recognize stress when you see it.Most children lapse into temper tantrums when they are tired or bored or just plain hungry .Learn to recognize such signs and stave the off early to avoid public displays of temper.
- Losing your temper and whacking your child just doesn’t work. This just makes them wail and flail a little more.
- Set firm limits before leaving for a special outing like telling your child, “We are going to the supermarket and you are allowed only one sweet and toy ,Just one! No more!”From personal experience repeated reiteration of firm rules does work and children learn to recognize your tone when you are not going to give in!
